Mary(mom):She is about 5’1 and she has beautiful freckles and she sometimes has the old school fro. She is a very strong women she is a independent women, a single parent with 3 kids but only two live in the house. She thinks if you work hard at something that you can do anything you want she also is a good encouragement to me and my sister.

Tiffany(sister) :She is more laid back type. She really is by herself because she is 19 so she really doesn’t listen to my mother because she is grown but she does sometimes. She is trying right now to getting a job but her grades were not all that good and she is starting her 2nd year in community college.

Shawn(brother):He is only 15 and he is in high school trying to go to college for sport(basketball, football). But his grades are not up to date where they should be. He is a mommy boy.


Mary: Hi kids how was school?

Tiffany: Good

Shawn: Same here

Mary: How was basketball practice?

Shawn: Umm…I got kicked off today because of my grades.

Mary: How can you not get a 1.5? I cant believe you.

Shawn: Its easy but I really didn’t do any of my homework or study for any final that’s what brought me down lower the a 1.5.

Mary: So all the times you told me you didn’t have homework you lied to me. But tell me how you cant get higher then a 1.5 its to easy you don’t even have to go to class top get a 1.5.

Shawn: I know its just that I be having to much on my mind and trying to balance out school and sports is not easy.

Mary: Well maybe you shouldn’t be playing sports then if you cant handle both at the same time. This is the second time this happen this happen for football to. They wouldn’t let you play the first to games because of your grades from last year. You Have to do Better but I tell you this now your going so extra stuff to pay off what you lost.

Shawn: I am so very sorry it wont happen again. I promise

I don’t agree because if your conscience is telling you not to do something then it must have some sense because it’s telling you not to do something wrong or telling you to do something. Also if you didn’t have you would do some bad things like put your hand in the cookie jar and your mom tells you that you can’t have any until after diner. So if you did have a conscience you would have thought twice about it before doing it and maybe would have never done it. So I don’t agree because without a conscience some bad things would happen because you would not have nothing to tell you that your doing something wrong.

Huck conscience influenced him by him not telling on Jim about running away. I do agree with his decision because you wouldn’t want anybody to tell on you about running away because you want to be free. Another one is when he decided to leave home and run away I don’t agree with his decision because he left people that cared for him why leave something that someone else would like to have and your leaving it.

One day I wanted to sneak out and play with my friends but my mother was going out and she said I couldn’t leave the house. Everyone is outside playing and I am in the window looking at everyone have fun I wanted to go out. So I call my cousin who lived across the street and told him when are parents leave we are going to sneak out so he said ok lets go for it. So as are parents are leaving we are putting on are play cloths my mom me kiss me good by and she leaves so I call my cousin and tell him lets go. So as I am about to open the door I think this isn’t right I was playing basketball for my 5th grade team at the time and I thought if I leave and get caught we wont be able to play in the game. So I call him and tell him its off because I want to play basketball and he agrees so we jus stay in the house and watch TV.

My Room


I have been going to my room for all my life since I was born. There are lots of things to do there like plays video games like NBA 2K9 no one can beat me. I go there to relax and be myself and just to be alone sometimes also to do homework and study’s. My room looks like a clean calm area it has nothing on the wall except a calendar and some football things. It smells like fresh air and sometimes sweaty cloths from gym or basketball practice. My mom goes there and we have a close relationship and she only come to see what I am doing or to talk to me when I am in trouble. This place means the world to me a little because if I didn’t have it I wouldn’t have a place to sleep. The things that make me associate with it is the smell of smelly dirty sock mixed with fresh air. So if you went to my room you would know what kind of person I am. So if I didn’t have it you would know what kind of person I am so without it to me I am nobody.

In Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck, the protagonist, Huck, is greatly influenced by four people: Widow Douglas, Tom Sawyer, Pap, Jim.

Widow Douglas influenced Huck by teaching him how to be a boy and teaching him manners. She indirectly influenced Huck by her trying to change him to quick when she first takes him in. “I got into old rags and my sugar-hogshead again”Pg.1. “I wanted to smoke but widow wouldn’t let me”Pg.2.

Tom Sawyer influenced Huck by Making him think he could do anything and making him think. Tom indirectly influenced him by making do things that they wasn’t suppose to do.

Pap influenced him by making him stick up for himself and teaching him to throw a knife. He indirectly influenced him by showing him it’s ok to leave your child and kidnap them and try and take there money.

Jim influenced him by showing him its ok to be your self and not be like everyone else. He indirectly influenced him by teaching him not to tell where Jim was because he was a run away slave.

Without these key influences in his life, Huck would be a very different person.

Huck Finn Response (Ch.1 - Ch.12)

Well what happen so far was that Huck got a new family and he really doesn't like it. So he tries to go back to his old self but the widow doesn't like it so she make him change. He has money now so he is wearing all these good clothes but he don't like his new look. He finds foot steps and he thinks its his pap so he goes to the judge and ask do he think its him and he don't think so but Huck really think it is. So Huck ask the judge to keep the money so when Huck's dad come he wont be lying when he says he don't have any money. Huck think his dad is coming back since he knows he got money then one day Huck comes home ans there is pap sitting in a chair he got throw the window because the window was open. Huck isn't scared though he said he thought he would be scared but he wasn't. Pap clothes was all messed up and hap holes he had a white face like a fish belly and his shoes was also messed up. Pap says everybody keep saying he can read so he ask him to and he does and Pap isn't happy because he couldn't read or write. So Pap kind naps Huck and no ones sees him anymore Huck is trying to leave so he kills a pig and put all the blood on the floor so it can look like someone killed him. He runs away and he finds Jim the slave they stay together for a while and one Huck goes into town as a girl so no one can remember his face and he goes to an old lady house and she knows he isn't a girl . She tells him that her husband is going to look for Jim and Huck hurry's back to tell Jim that they got to leave.


I like that Huck is not scared of his dad and runs away and that he was smart enough to plan a death and make it look like he was killed. Also I like how he doesn't turn Jim in for running away and getting the money. I don't like that the lady tried to hurt Huck's lower area. Its something like of mice and men because one is not smarter then the other so the smart does all the smart stuff. And they also protect each other.
